Untuk menjamin keselamatan dan kesehatan pekerja radiasi, perIu dilakukan pengawasan secara periodik terhadap dosis radiasi yang diterima pekerja dan pemantauan kesehatan pekerja radiasi baik radiasi eksternal maupun internal. Perubahan kadar hemoglobin (Hb), jumlah eritrosit, lekosit, limfosit absolut, dan trombosit dapat dijadikan indikator adanya gangguan dalam hemopoitik akibat pajanan radiasi. Telah dilakukan pemeriksaan darah pekerja radiasi dari perusahaan pengguna radiasi pengion dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pajanan radiasi terhadap komponen darah. Sebanyak 2,5 ml darah dari 29 pekerja radiasi diambil menggunakan syringe kemudian dimasukkan ke dalam botol berisi 0,01 ml anti koagulan EDT A dikocok perIahan agar tidak menggumpal. Darah tersebut diperiksa kadar hemoglobin, jumlah sel lekosit, eritrosit, trombosit, limfosit dengan menggunakan peralatan ABX Micros 60. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar Hb, eritrosit, lekosit, limfosit absolut dan trombosit para pekerja radiasi berada dalam batas normal. Hal ini kemungkinan karena para pekerja dalam melakukan aktivitasnya sudah mengikuti ketentuan kerja keselamatan dan kesehatan pekerja radiasi. For ensuring the safety and health status of radiation workers, it necessary to monitor periodically the dose received by the workers and the health status of the workers either externally or internally. The alterations of hemoglobin (Hb) contents, counts of erythrocyte, leukocyte, absolute lymphocyte, and thrombocyte can be used as an indicator of body damage caused by radiation exposure. The hematological monitoring on radiation workers of ionizing radiation user companies has been· done in order to seek for the effects of radiation on hematological components. Two and half milliliters of blood obtained from 29 radiation workers were taken by using syringe and then put into vial containing 0.0 I ml anti coagulant (EDTA) and subsequently mixed slowly to avoid blood clot. The contents of hemoglobin, and leukocyte, erythrocyte, thrombocyte, lymphocyte counts were measured with ABX Micros 60 apparatus. The results showed that Hb contents, erythrocyte, leukocyte, absolute lymphocyte and thrombocyte of radiation workers were still in normal range. This may be due to the workers in conducting their activities followed the law for safety and healthy of radiation workers.
