PENGARUH STANDAR PADA PEREKONOMIAN SUATU NEGARA -
Makroekonomi(Rob Steele Sekjen ISO, Forum CEO NSB 2013)
• Perancis : standar menyumbang 25 % pertumbuhan GDP (2009)
• Inggris: kontribusi standar terhadap perrtumbuhan produktivitas pekerja 13 %. Standar memfasilitasi perubahan teknologi yang digunakan dan mendorong inovasi (2005)
• Kanada (2007) : Peningkatan GDP signifikan ketika penerapan standar dilakukan dibandingkan periode 1981-2004 (CDN 62 biilion lower), ketika tidak terjadi pertumbuhan dalam pengembangan standar
• Jerman: kontribusi standar pada pertumbuhan ekonomi melebihi patent dan lisensi. Exportir Jerman menggunakan standar sebagai strategi baru membuka pasar (2000)

Kondisi saat ini (lanjutan)
1. Peran penting standardisasi menjadi semakin diakui, terutama di era regionalisasi atau integrasi ekonomi dan perdagangan, missal MEA (Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN) 2015
2. Untuk itu, kompetensi standardisasi menjadi semakin penting untuk dimiliki oleh masyarakat, terutama tenaga kerja/professional (bahkan negara lain sudah mengembangkan sertifikasi profesi di bidang standardisasi, seperti AS, Korea Selatan, dan Jepang;
3. Awareness masyarakat terhadap standardisasi masih rendah (berdasarkan hasil survey tingkat persepsi 2013 dan 2014 skornya 67,67% - 72% kategori sedang;
4. Keterbatasan sumber daya BSN (anggaran, SDM hanya 400-an orang)

dunia akan terus mengalami kenaikan

2. Dapat diakses dimanapun dengan mempertimbangan kondisi/kecepatan internet di daerah;
3. Konten materi sesuai dengan kebutuhan;4. user friendly dan menarik (ada interaksi,
synchronous/asynchronous ) baik tampilan, cara penggunaan maupun konten;
5. Dampak atau manfaat dapat diukur/dievaluasi;6. Hasil keikutsertaan dalam DLS dapat diakui secara
formal, missal mendapat sertifikat
