    Mantage Description: This is my montage poster project with a spiritual mes-

    sage. The storm and the broken vessel represent the low points inour lives and the hand of christ reaching out represents the light thatthe Lord can bring back into our life.

    Process: When I rst began the project I uploaded the main picture

    to photoshop and made copied the layer and added a layer mask.I then made the photo black and white and used the brush toolto bring the color back into the photo. Next, I uploaded my sec-

    ond picture and used the lasso tool with a feather of 100 px to cutthe photo and pasted it on top of the main picture. I then used thebrush tool again to blend the edges of the second photo into therst. lastly, I added a quote and code my body copy text and used

    the color dodge setting in the text layer.Message: The message of this montage is that God puts trials ( dark-ness) into everyones life to help them nd God (the light).

    Audience: This message is intended for people going through dif-

    cult times in their life and need comfort.Top thing learned: The biggest thing that I learned with this project ishow to mask pictures and layers and blend photos into one image.Colors: My color scheme is dark blues and blacks.Fonts: My body copy font is noteworthy light and noteworthy bold.

    Logos Description: Logo for Flower shop

    Process: The rst thing that I did was make the ower and add the

    colors and then I wrote out the text and used the eye dropper toolto bring the color into the text. Next, I grouped the object and thetext into one object. I then made one of the logos grayscale andmade a background circle for the otherlogo to go on top of.

    Programs/Tools Used:

    Adobe Illustrator 

    Message: If you need ower arrangements, come to this shop.

    Audience: Anyone looking to buy owers.

    Top Thing Learned: How to draw using the pen tool and createshapes with the shape tool.

    Color scheme: Complementary color names: Split complimentarycolors. Pink, green and yellow.

    Brochure Description:(Programs, Tools, Skills): This is my brochure promoting the

    company “Rina’s Floral Design”. The brochure has a gate fold with apicture and logo cut in half and placed on the sides of the front pagto fold and meet together in the front as one image. This process wavery time consuming and difcult; it took me 15 prints to get it exactly

    aligned. On the inside I have three images that I cut out with the lasstool in photoshop and placed into my brochure on InDesign. The twoowers on the side are text wrapped. I created my logo in Adobe Il-lustrator with the paint brush tool. I drew one side of the vine and the

    used the reect tool to mirror the other side to make two vines thatcrossed in the front.

    Message: The message that this brochure sends is that Rina’s Floral Dsign is a friendly, professional oral design shop that works with all customers to provide them with the highest quality owers..

    Audience: The audience is anyone who wants to buy owers, but thecompany is focused around designing wedding bouquets.

    Top Thing Learned: The thing that I took away from this is how to usephotoshops tools to cut out images using the lasso tool and rene ed

    Flier Description: Black, white and gray ier to advertise a graduate con-

    ference.

    Process: First I drew layout ideas on a paper and chose which wouldwork best for this project. Next I used the pen tool in InDesign todraw triangles to insert the pictures and text into. I used the eye-dropper tool to make the triangle background the same color asone of the colors in the photo I used. I was given the text, logo andphoto for this ier.

    Message: This ier promotes a conference for recent graduates.

    Audience: The audience is recently graduated college students.

    Top thing learned:

    Title font: Helvetica- San Serif

    Description: This is my event ad for a summer clothing sale at a local

    clothing store.

    Process: The rst thing I did was use the rectangle tool to color bothhalves of the page and lled them in with different colors. Next, I

    used the quick selection tool in photoshop to cut out the picture of

    the woman and added it into my design.

    Message: The message is that there is a sale for summer clothes.

    Audience: The audience is any women that are looking for swimsuits and shorts.

    Top Thing Learned: I learned how to use contrasting colors in an ad.

    Web Page Description: This is a web page designed to display my logo and des

    process.

    Process (Programs, Tools, Skills):I created this web page using TextWrangler. Before this project I hadnever known what HTML and CSS meant or what they did. Now thatI’ve made a website using these tools, I am condent in knowing wh

    they do and how they work. After I wrote out the text into my HTML Ithen attached a css code and used the color codes from my logo a

    the background and text colors for my web page. I then changed mfonts to match the ones I used in my logo (Mongolian Baiti and SathuThe last thing I did was add a “oat: left”.
