ISR

ISR mengkombinasikan fitur seperti fungsi routing dan switching, security, voice, koneksi LAN dan WAN ke dalam sebuah alat.

Apa itu Router ?

Router adalah komputer khusus yang memiliki tugas utama mengirimkan paket melalui jaringan komputer.

Router bertanggungjawab dalam hal mengkoneksikan antar jaringan dengan cara memilih jalur terbaik bagi paket untuk diteruskan sampai ke tujuan akhir.

Komponen Router

1. CPU – Menjalankan perintah operating system

2. Random access memory (RAM) – Berisi file salinan

konfigurasi yang sedang berjalan saat ini. Menyimpan

routing table. Isi RAM hilang apabila power dimatikan.

3. Read-only memory (ROM) – Menyimpan diagnostic

software yang digunakan ketika router mulai

dinyalakan. Menyimpan program bootstrap milik

router.

4. Non-volatile RAM (NVRAM) – Menyimpan startup

configuration. Termasuk didalamnya alamat – alamat

IP (Routing protocol, Hostname dari router)

5. Flash memory – Berisi operating system (Cisco IOS)

6. Interfaces – Terdapat banyak interface fisik yang

digunakan untuk terhubung dengan jaringan. Contoh

jenis interface:

– Ethernet / fast Ethernet interfaces

– Serial interfaces

– Management interfaces

Konfigurasi Terminal Emulation

1. COM port yang dipakai

– baud: 9600

– data bit: 8

– No parity

– Stop bit 1

– No flow control

2. Hubungkan konektor RJ-45 kabel roll-over ke terminal console router

3. Hubungkan ujung yang lain ke terminal DB-9

4. Sambungkan terminal DB-9 female adapter ke PC

Internetwork Operating System (IOS)

Cisco Internetwork Operating System (IOS) adalah software yang menyediakan fitur yang dimiliki oleh peralatan Cisco untuk mengirim dan menerima data di jaringan baik secara kabel maupun nirkabel.

IOS software disediakan bagi pengguna dalam bentuk software yang disebut dengan image.

Cisco IOS command line interface (CLI) adalah program berbasis text yang digunakan untuk memasukkan dan mengeksekusi perintah – perintah Cisco IOS guna konfigurasi, monitoring dan pengaturan Router.
