Accident means anything that can cause (eg, Material handling, Welding, Grinding, chemicals, electricity, working from ladders, etc). Risk is the chance, high or low, that someone will be preventing by the accident.

Managing health and safety is

We need to do a risk assessment to find out about the risks in workplace, put sensible measures in place to control them, and make sure they stay controlled. A risk assessment is nothing more than a careful examination of what, in work place, could cause harm to people. Risk assessment should be a practical exercise, aimed at getting the right controls in place – keep it simple and put the leaflet gives you step-by-step guidance on how to assess health and safety risks with a minimum of fuss.

Health and safety policy Clearly sets out how you manage health and safety in workplace by defining who does what; and when and how they do it. of this leaflet is an example of a health and safety policy statement that we can fill in and keep at workplace.
